Built-in AI vs. your own key

Every AI action in MATRIZ — rewriting an element, drafting an email, or proposing a new site capability — needs a model to run on. You choose between two options at the point you use the feature:

• MATRIZ’s built-in AI — no setup, no key. It’s free, with a daily limit (currently up to 50 requests per day) shared across your project. Once that daily limit is reached, built-in AI pauses until it resets the next day.
• Your own key (bring-your-own-key) — connect your own account with a model provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) and use it for as many requests as your own plan allows. Your key is used only for that one request — MATRIZ never stores it.

Where to check this

Open Settings → Capabilities to see whether built-in AI is available on your account and how much of today’s allowance you’ve used. If you’ve hit the daily limit, switch to your own key there (or wherever you’re prompted to choose a provider) to keep going.
